Louis Alfred Nickolas Stalwart Institute

With regard to Greenland, the Position of the Louis Alfred Nickolas Stalwart Institute is as follows:

1. The White House should take the position that Greenland should and must be permitted to facilitate an Independence Referendum, the results of which Copenhagen should be required to respect. As we are well aware, the Greenlandic people desire to be without the Sovereign Authority of Copenhagen and for Nuuk to be recognised as a Sovereign Capital.
2. Once Nuuk becomes a Sovereign Capital, the White House should immediately appoint an Ambassador thereto to begin discussions regarding Nuuk’s Defence and Economic Development.
3. Nuuk must be convinced by the White House to enter into Compact of Free Association with the White House, such that she would become a Protectorate thereof. As a Protectorate, Nuuk’s Defence against Foreign Persons would become the Responsibility of the White House. This would give the White House precisely the type of leverage needed to ensure that Nuuk makes no moves to give Beijing or the Kremlin strategic access to the portion of the Arctic Circle without the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Kremlin. As Nuuk’s Protector, the White House would now have another valid reason to Police the Arctic, so long as she respects the Kremlin’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
4. Nuuk must be convinced by the White House to enter into a Bilateral Comprehensive Economic Pact therewith, whereby the White House has exclusive access to cultivate Nuuk’s Economic Resources, splitting the Net Profits in a way that favours Nuuk (i.e., 60% Nuuk, 40% to the U.S. Companies in question). The U.S. Companies in question, and not Nuuk, would be responsible for 100% of the infrastructure investments necessary to mine the natural resources in question.
5. As part of the Economic Pact, the White House would require Nuuk to refrain from engaging with the Kremlin or Beijing economically. In exchange, the White House would share with Nuuk whatever technology (think: AI, Semi-Conductors) she would require in order to commence the process to establishing economic viability without natural resources.
6. Separate from the Compact and the Economic Pact, Nuuk should make it illegal for Citisens and Permanent Residents of the United States to be resident in Greenland, whether permanently or otherwise – with the sole exception being individuals present in Greenland as part of Natural Resource Development. This is crucial to ensuring that Greenland is permitted to establish its own Unique National Identity without un-necessary External Pressures.

This particular course of action would mean that the White House would avoid the burdens that come along with Administering a Colony while enjoying, at the expense of U.S. Companies, the crucial Economic Benefit of Access to Natural Resources.
